Waxman Power!
Subcommittee Chairman Tierney held a hearing exploring IED and conventional munitions storage sites in Iraq and whether the Department of Defense has taken appropriate steps to identify and secure these sites. A GAO report released at the hearing documents how poor planning and overly-optimistic assumptions led to countless unsecured munitions sites throughout Iraq.
The following witnesses will testify:
·Ms. Davi D'Agostino, Director, Defense Capabilities and Management, GAO
·Lieutenant General Gregory S. Newbold, U.S. Marine Corps, retired
· GAO Report: DOD Should Apply Lessons Learned Concerning the Need for Security over Conventional Munitions Storage Sites

Waxmen will find out that most of the weapons that were to be protected are in the hands of the terrorist. As to date the terrorist have more weapons then US troops. You ask why? The terrorist are working as soldiers with the US military. As the Iraq military leader said most of the Iraq army are terrorist who don't want the Maliki government in office. They want Al Sadr as their leader. The US military is fighting Shites and Sunni as we're caught in the middle and that's the way the Bush Administration wants it. They need time to get the money for pay offs, contractors and Halliburton pipe line money. As Connie Rice said these brave men/women are sacrificing their lives for Halliburton's oil rights not Iraq Freedom.
