Gonzo's career hangs by a thread..

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, amid a growing clamor for his resignation, acknowledged Friday confusion about of his role in firing eight U.S. attorneys but said he doesn't "recall being involved in deliberations" over which prosecutors were to be ousted.

"I believe in truth and accountability and every step that I've taken is consistent with that principle," Gonzales said when asked why he is not heeding calls to resign. "I am fighting for the truth as well." More on the story.

Gonzo's poor me story didn't sell. He sit back and did as he was told by the big boys. As Rove and others gave him orders he just followed. Now that the crimes come to light Gonzo will go the way of Libby out. Gonzo isn't needed anymore and was never qualified for the job of Attorney General. He was just a friend of George W. Bush and people accepted him because of that relationship. On his own he's nothing and no one. He's back to his immigrate status. He can always say it's been fun it's been real but it's over now.
