Hmm....I don't know law, but as an antique dealer, I know that most estates have been high graded, and you can only bid on what you see.
If I were on the judiciary commitee, I would concentrate on the documents that were not recieved...bogart the documents that are in my pocket, but ask for something that is worth while and is really what I came here for.
The House Judiciary commitee knew that the WH would withhold emails. By having the 3,000 emails released to the public by the White House, the House Judiciary Commitee knows that the public will start to raise questions on how much the WH covered up of the U.S. Attorneys. I would keep my ears open for Senator Leahy since he was a former prosecutor. He has hinted that he will be bringing whistleblowers to testify. Just like the public were angered and raise questions over Foley, the display of 3,000 + emails will make the public more determine to impeach the Gerbil. The judiciary committee has something up their sleeves.
