Burris to retire, won't seek a full term

Was it worth it? Yes even lying and stealing just to have Senator written on your grave stone.

Truth is Jackie, he has legal bills, he has no campaign chest, he can't afford to run again.

We are also having some major unethical cemetery issues in Cook County. Burr Oak should be all over national news by now, it's the worst ever seen in this country, horrific and details getting worse each day.

It's money and his approval ratings as the junior Senator of Illinois. Burris knew that when Blago got indicted, when his testimony on Blago's pay-to-play probe was questionable, when he gave conflictable statements on Blago, and when Blago's former chief in chief recently pleaded guilty, it was time for Burris to bow out of running for Senate.

Burris doesn't have strong backing. Durbin is not backing him. All Burris has is Bobby Rush and some of the black community leaders. But, that is not enough for him to regain the Senate seat. Much of the Illinois turn their back on him and want new meat. Burris is basically hosed and will be remembered as the less than one term Senator who used the race card and whine his way to Capitol Hill on the back of an impeached and indicted Governor.

There is something Burris can work on before he is out of office, getting some regulations on cemeteries.
