Norm is hosed. Congrats to the new Senator of Minnesota, Senator Al Franken!
CNN:
(CNN) -- Minnesota's Supreme Court has dismissed former Sen. Norm Coleman's challenge to the state's November election results and declared Democratic challenger Al Franken the winner.
The unanimous opinion ruled that Franken "received the highest number of votes legally cast" and is entitled "to receive the certificate of election as United States senator from the state of Minnesota."
Coleman still could attempt to take the challenge to federal courts, but Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a Republican, told CNN on Sunday that he would sign Franken's election certificate if the Supreme Court ordered it.
Update: Norm has conceded the race to Franken. From TPM:
In a press conference just now, former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) has conceded defeat to the Democratic comedian Franken in the 2008 Senate race -- nearly eight months after Election Day, and six months after the seat went vacant when Coleman's single term had expired. Coleman said that further litigation would damage the state, and congratulated Sen.-elect Franken on his victory. He said his future plans in politics "are a subject for another day."

It's time for the Supreme Court to step in to save the GOP yet again. Look 4 votes and the token vote from Thomas should do it. Look these guys gave Bush the Presidential election in 2000 when everyone knew Gore won. Now the GOP will have to have the Supremes do the same for Coleman. They have to keep the KKK in charge or who knows the US just might really become the country people wished for.
You have to love God and how He works. Sotomayor was attacked for her decision with the Conn. Firefighters as the GOP said she could change the Law. Now as the Justices did change the Law all said the lower court can't change law they have to follow the Law, just like Sotomayor said in the first place. It's always nice to see some people read Law 101 and remembered it.
Finally!
I am sure the people of Minn.
are glad this is over!
Wow, what a crybaby sore loser the GOP has become.
