Iranian-American lawyers call for independent investigation of election

Law.com (sub. req.):

One day after President Obama declared that the United States and other countries were "appalled and outraged by the threats, beatings and imprisonments of the last few days" in Iran, the Iranian American Lawyers Association called for the creation of an independent commission to investigate human rights violations in the tumultuous aftermath of the June 12 election.

The NLJ spoke with P. Patrick Ashouri, a member of the association's board of directors and a principal at Ashouri Law Offices in Mission Hills, Calif., about the proposed commission.

Really, Obama is smart to stay out of this, he was left with enough international mess to clean up.
