Mr. McStraight talk takes his gig to the West Coast.

Have lunch Grampa McCain in California and open up your wallet. Payment plan and layaways are not accepted.

Arizona Senator John McCain is making good on his promise to play in big blue California. He's heading this month to the Bay Area for some high-end fundraising.

McCain will star at a high ticket fundraising lunch on Wednesday, March 26 at the famed Inn at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, where it's clear the deep-pocketed donors are being courted bigtime.

To get on his ''California Advisory Team,'' according to the invite, a supporter will agree to raise $46,000 for Big John. That price gets them seating at his head table, and four tickets to a ''private reception with photo opportunity.''

Honorary co-chairs of this event include former California Secretary of State Bill Jones and State Sen. Abel Maldonado.

The cheap seats? $1,000 per person.

That night -- we can see Code Pink ramping up as we speak -- McCain heads to San Francisco for a fancy dinner at the Ritz Carlton hotel. The $2,300 per person ticket gets you a ''limited lapel pin'' -- but you can always agree to raise $50,000 to be on his advisory team, or $25,000 to be on the ''executive team.''

Listed as members of his ''California Leadership Team'' are former U.S. Ambassador to France Howard Leach, former U.S. Senate candidate Matt Fong, and top GOP donor Katie Boyd.

McCain will also hit Southern California the same week, and plans some public events too.

Otherwise, the Dems might say it's all about the Benjamins.

McCain tried this before in California I don't think he will do well this time either. He's a true loser even Republicans didn't want him in the first place. Knowing he can't be accountable for his campaign money, it will be like burning their money. Now if these people are millionaires they don't have to ask McCain about how they can get a profit as McCain doesn't know anything about Finances or the US Economy. There will be no Stock Market talk or Bear Stearns at these fund raisers. I guess things didn't go that good in fund raising in Iraq.

I really doubt that McCain will make any money from his West Coast collection plate gig. Most folks in that state are against the war.
