Interesting question. A blast for the past:
Dan Eggen of the Washington Post tells of the showdown - when the House Judiciary Committee voted on whether Bolton and Miers should be held in contempt. (for background see here) But another aspect of this article also merits serious consideration. The article stated that "Gonzales says allegations that some of his aides used political considerations in hiring career employees were 'troubling to hear,' but he said he was staying in his job to initiate reform."
Should Gonzales be held to the same standards that he holds CEOs of corporations? Is he a responsible corporate officer? And if he is, should he be held accountable for any wrongdoing that occurred under his administration? Where was the compliance program to protect against wrongdoing?
Now that Gonzales is gone and Mukasey is now the Attorney General, should Mukasey be held responsible in the same way a CEOs are held responsible in a troubling company? The current CEOs who testified for waxman are held accountable for their actions in their troubling companies and subprime woes? Should Mukasey be held on that same caliber?

Musk Rat in only in the job for kick backs. Now his Deputy dough boy Filips is getting as much as he can before it's over. Big Business is paying big bucks to hide the crimes and corruption done in the past 7 years. As for the US Treasury well it's broke and looking for hand outs to over the debt. Americans better get use to the Middle East as they will own the United States soon. McCain is just a puppet to stay the current course to finished the job. I wouldn't be surprised if Musk Rat was on the client list of the Sex Sandal you just never know these days.
