The White House announced today that President Bush intends to veto a major defense authorization bill, “citing concerns over language that it claims could endanger Iraqi assets held in U.S. banks“:
The President intends to veto H.R. 1585, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (”NDAA”). One provision in the bill - section 1083 - would significantly amend current law (the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act) in ways that would imperil Iraqi assets held in the United States, including reconstruction and central bank funds. If enacted, Section 1083 would permit plaintiffs’ lawyers immediately to freeze Iraqi funds and would expose Iraq to massive liability in lawsuits concerning the misdeeds of the Saddam Hussein regime.
The new democratic government of Iraq, during this crucial period of reconstruction, cannot afford to have its funds entangled in such lawsuits in the United States. Once in place, the restrictions on Iraq’s funds that could result from the bill could take months to lift, and thus Section 1083 cannot become law even for a short period of time.

Iraq has a good President in George W. Bush. He protects Iraq more then the United States of America. No wonder he doesn't know what's going on he's working for his country. But as I said before Americans aren't educated enough to know any different so it works. I must admit Karl Rove knew just how the American people would follow without question. Now Rev. Huck said God said he wanted him to be President and the sheep will follow. Dick Cheney will again be Vice President and continue his work for the Dark Side. Look for Scooter Libby to be appointed Attorney General and of course Rummy will be back in his leadership role. All the criminal cases against Republicans will be dropped and all the Democrats will be removed. DeLay will get his job back and so will Duck aka Duke Cunningham. Immigrants will be sent home and the Seniors will do their jobs. Ron Paul will get his wish and 95 per cent of the Black Males will go to jail. Woman will not be allowed to work in a job that men do. Andrea Mitchell will learn how to cook for Greenspan. Diane Feinstein will have to just be a housewife. Colleges will not allow female's an education. Black and other minorities will not be allowed to own property. Yes the good news is Pottersville will be open for business and only the healthy will live the sick will be left to do.
