Iran, Kazakhstan to Boost Trade Exchanges.

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian and Kazakh presidents in a joint press conference here on Monday said that the two countries have decided to boost their trade exchanges to USD 10 bln.

During the press conference, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad noted the two countries' common culture and historical background, and voiced pleasure in the two nations' developing ties ever since Kazakhstan gained independence.

"We support Kazakhstan's independence and progress and we are glad to witness the progresses this country has made under the supervision of Mr. Nazarbayev," he said, adding, "Iran and Kazakhstan are two historical allies and will always side with each other."

The president pointed to the abundant grounds existing for the two countries' mutual cooperation, and said that he and Nazarbayev are decisive to increase Iran-Kazakhstan trade exchanges to the ceiling of $10 bln.

He said both sides are in agreement about the ample grounds existing for mutual cooperation, and mentioned that during his today's talks with the Kazakh president, the two sides have agreed on enhancing cooperation in transportation, establishing a railroad linking Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan and Iran with a high-capacity marginal road for transiting goods, and expanding ports and shipping lines.

"Bolstering of cooperation in the oil, gas and energy sector as well as the joint construction of a refinery and swap of oil and gas were among other agreements gained during the talks," Ahmadinejad continued.

He further reiterated that there resides no impediments to the expansion of Iran-Kazakhstan relations.

The Iranian president also underlined the two countries' shared views about regional, international and Caspian Sea issues, and added, "We are determined to boost our ties to the highest levels possible, specially in economic grounds. We are also determined to support justice and peace in the international arena and defend each other's rights in the different circles."

He viewed Nazarbayev's visit to Tehran as a long stride in the expansion of bilateral relations, and viewed the future of the two countries' relations as constructive and lustrous, stressing that Iran and Kazakhstan will in future play a more influential role in the extension of peace in the Caspian Sea, the world of Islam and the international scene.

For his part, Nursultan Nazarbayev said his country has enjoyed close and cordial ties with Iran since it gained independence 15 years ago.

He further described his talks with the Iranian president as good, saying that during the meeting, the two sides have studied bilateral ties in all the different areas.

"There is no impediment to the expansion of economic ties between the two countries," the Kazakh president said, adding that the agreements signed by the two sides in today's meeting would cause a fresh movement in Iran-Kazakhstan relations.

Good news for Iran. Now is anyone willing to help the US or are we no longer friends. Oh that's right Cheney wants to steal the Middle East oil and bomb Iran. All these countries are making deals and working together while the US has the Axis of Evil in the Oval Office. Americans have to stop the Bush/Cheney terrorist group.

They're still looking for Kazakhstan on the map. Hint: It's not too far away from Kyrgystan.

Another hint kitty, don't think of invading Iran through the Caspian sea because Kazakhastan is not going to put up with it.
