CUBA ACCUSES THE CLOWN OF PROMOTING UPRISING

By AFP

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque accused US President George W. Bush on Wednesday of promoting violence to bring about political change in the communist-ruled island.

"It is a confirmation that the current policy of the Bush regime is regime change in Cuba, including through the use of force," Perez Roque told reporters after Bush urged the international community to push for change in Cuba.

Bush's speech "is understood as a plea for violence, a call for the use of force to topple the revolution and impose his ideas on Cuba," he said.

The chief Cuban diplomat also mocked Bush for urging the country's military and police forces not to use force against people seeking change.

"You are delirious," Perez Roque said. "You are talking about an army of liberators. You forget that in Cuba the army is the uniformed population."

In his speech, Bush addressed Cuba's security apparatus, saying "When Cubans rise up to demand their liberty, the liberty they deserve, you've got to make a choice."

"Will you defend a disgraced and dying order by using force against your own people or will you embrace your people's desire for change?" Bush said. A senior Bush aide had said Tuesday that this was not a call for "armed rebellion."

Be careful what you wish for. Castro is two years younger the Daddy Bush. No one knows when their number is up. Cheney sleeps alot more during important meetings. The Gerbil is his brain fried on drugs. No one knows who will leave first. As for Cuba I'm sure Castro has put all his ducks in a row when his time comes to an end. Most American Presidents haven't lived as long as Castro. Cuba has gotten alot of friends to support their policy. Even the Iran President is a supporter of Cuba.
