Craig to the public: "It’s the Idaho paper’s fault that I pleaded guilty. Oh, I'm not gay."
From Thinkprogress:
Repeatedly claiming “I am not gay,” Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) blamed the media for his guilty plea of disorderly conduct. I have been “relentlessly and viciously harassed by the Idaho Statesman,” Craig complained. “The Statesman has engaged in this witchhunt. In pleading guilty, I overreacted in Minneapolis because of the stress the Idaho Statesman investigation and the rumors it has fueled all around Idaho.”
Memo to Craig: You should have brought your lawyer when you got caught with your pants down and at the press conference. Why tell that public that you should have plead guilty when your lewd conduct case is over? Craig just added another nail to his lack of creditability as the Idaho rep. And I look for an ethics conduct investigation into this pervert.

I just don't understand how these guys, especially in their position can't seem to control themselves and behave properly. I am sure Romney wants to distance himself from Craigs endorsement.
