Newsweek has come out with the latest poll of common knowledge that Americans are too stupid to know. And it’s the usual grim story: Asked to pull a name out of a hat (no multiple-choice help), 18 percent of Americans came up with the name of the latest “American Idol” winner. (Um, Jordin Sparks.)
But only 11 percent could name the chief justice of the United States. (It’s John Roberts. Add a Jr. if you’re being picky.)

I completely believe that people are that ignorant, that's how we ended up with term II of this disaster.
Most people would rather be entertained than educated. Very sad.

Now the truth is out. Karl Rove really knows Americans. Ask any American to name the Simpson or an American Idol and it's 100% right. While Americans were voting for an American Idol, the White House Mafia was appointing Klansmen to the Supreme Court. President Cheney with his secret office knew he had to line the Courts with KKK followers and work his way down. He also had to pass laws that would protect him for being charged with the crimes he's committed. He allowed Big Business to have a free hand in stealing and not being charged.
Yes Americans will have to accept the fact that they are dumb and the only hope is the next generation like the Student who questioned Bush torture policy.
