My thoughts of James Comey's testimony with the HJC

My thoughts is this. From Mr. Comey's testimony, it clearly points to a White House plot to fire key USAs for a political agenda.

Here are some of the highlights that I found interesting:

-With the exception of Kevin Ryan (who had serious management problems), the USAs who were fired were not only competent, but in several cases, some of the best.

- Comey testified that he was not aware of problems with the USAs who were fired. Comey said, "My experience with those Attorneys was very positive. The names that I have read in the newspaper have not been consistent with my experience."

-His phone call with Kyle Sampson in 2005. "We had a February 28, 2005, 15 minute meeting, with him asking me, as best I can recall, who did I think were the weakest," he said.

This was certainly an orchestrated plot by the White House to get expertise opinion first from Comey on certain USA's performance. Then, a plan of action took place to fire certain key USAs for a political agenda.

Finally, Comey's testimony about one of his duties as former DAG really gave evidence of an incompetent and dyfunctional operations currently run by Gonzo. Here is Comey's testimony:

Watt: Were any USAs asked to resign?

Comey: I remember 2 occasions on which USAs were asked to resign. One was when Ashcroft was AG. One was Gonzales was AG. I got his approval to have my senior staff member place a call and suggest that he resign. I talked to my staff, I had Margolis make a call, that it was time to leave, given the conduct that was discovered, it was not appropriate. One resigned, the other insisted on being fired by the President, so the President fired him by letter. In both the cases where I was involved with terminating a USA, the two were not close calls. As soon as you read about it, you said, this guy has got to go. We explained it to the person, Mr. Margolis explained it to them.

Hmmm. As a former DAG, Comey was involved with terminating a USA (which was his job) yet the current AG is unaware of the USA firings and gave authority of power to his aides Goodling and Sampson and the current DAG McNulty is clueless but pressured certain USAs to remain silent.
