Legal Morass: Unconfirmed reports says Operations Manager of Chase Credit Card Litigation stripped of all his duties

As you may recall, JP Morgan Chase abandoned thousands of cases against consumers in 5 states on credit card debt collection lawsuits. And now this important piece of information from Legal Morass website:

Unconfirmed reports are that Jason Lazinbat, Vice President and Operations Manager of Chase Credit Card Litigation, San Antonio Credit Card Operations Center was stripped of all duties today, 24 June 2011. Jason Lazinbat was the individual who signed off as the Custodian of Records within the sale of the Chase $200MM portfolio to DebtOne of Metairie, Louisiana.

Remember Jason Lazinbat? Here is an excerpt from former Chase employee Linda Almonte's sworn affidavit where she discussed the robo-signing of affidavits that took place in one of her meetings at the workplace:

There was constant complaining by the Attorney Liaisons about having to manually sign these affidavits due to the time it took and, they always questioned why they could not have them digitally
signed in bulk. In other words, the people who signed the affidavits complained because they
had to be bothered to physically sign so many affidavits. Needless to say, it would have taken
an inordinate amount of time if they had to actually review account information as they were
supposed to, before singing. In attendance at these meeting were myself, Tony Forrest (VP
Audit and Compliance), all attorney liaisons, all Team Leaders, including those responsible for
compliance procedures. In addition, at times Jason Lazinbat (Operations Manager) and Edmond
Helaire (Operations Director) were also in attendance.
