WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Finkelstein Thompson LLP ("FT") announces an investigation of Deutsche Bank AG and its subsidiary MortgageIT, Inc. According to a complaint filed by the United States government, Deutsche Bank AG and MortgageIT allegedly failed to adequately screen the creditworthiness of applicants for FHA-insured home loans. This practice may have resulted in borrowers being approved for FHA-insured loans that they were not qualified for and could not pay back. Victims of the practice paid out closing costs and other fees associated with obtaining a mortgage, unaware that inadequate credit screening may have doomed them to lose their homes.
