On the IL Gov race, oh by the way congrats of ridding your state Capital of the Gropinator.

They are waiting for absentee ballots, The current Governor, Quinn who was Lt Gov then stepped in when Blagojevich was ousted, ran against downstate, GOP. Downstate IL is a mild version of your down south Redneck country, and mentality.

So the downstate vote was overwhelminly Red, as in Redneck. And the upstate vote was Blue.

The number constantly change but 10K is about what Quinn is ahead.

Anyhow, CapFAx is following this one close.

I do not look forward to the drama Queen Boehner taking on the speaker of the house. We don't need all the dramatics.

Thanks for the congrats. By the way, Moonbeam has met with the legislators and will meet with Arnold. Moonbeam is taking a week off to look for a place in Sacramento. And he will be hitting the ground running as Governor-elect like Obama did as President-elect. By the way, thanks to the voters, legislators no longer need 2/3 votes to pass the budget here. This has been the most ridiculous way of passing a budget. Also, legislators will have a pay cut on each day the budget is late. That was on the ballot which passed.

Gropinator can just go. No one is paying attention to him. Currently, the Attorney General race is in a dead heat as Kamala Harris is leading. they are still counting absentee ballots. If she wins, she will the first African-American/India woman elected as Attorney General.

Well, we have to get used to the drama queen tan man. He gave his speech yesterday and gave out his usual tears. I am not look forward to Boner crying during conferences and on the House floor. It's tears of a clown.

Thanks for the info on the Guv race.

Now the GOP for IL Gov is almost 20K behind the incumbant/inherited Governor Quinn.

By the way, former US Senator, (D) Illinois daughter is the Lt Gov., Simon, remember Paul Simon (D) from Illinois?

Illinois (D) Speaker of the house Mike Madigan may be encouraging daughter Lisa (D) Attorney General to run for Mayor. Yep the Mayors race in the next big one in town. Mayor Daley will give up his throne as King of the City, and Rahm Emmanuel came back home to run.

But Brady (GOP) run for the Gov race, won't concede because the GOP Governors put some big bucks behind him. But seriously he needs to concede or he should not consider a run for anything if he drags this out.

Is Harris Democrat or GOP? How close is the attorney General race?

But seriously joy in California with that gropping Neanderthal out of office, Happiness and joy to you for that. Wow, that guy was a serious joke, and your old ex Gov from eons past is in. Can't they come up with any new blood in California, aren't there any other warm bodies that will run for the Governor post?

Third:

Harris is a Democrat. And the race is close. She is up by 14k votes but there are provisional ballots and absentee ballots to go through.

California chose experience over new blood. That's why Moonbeam was voted in to fix the mess. He may only do 1 term. I hear what you are saying about getting new blood but many said that they tried that with Arnold because when Arnold ran for Guv, he said that he was an outsider. So, I think a lot of people didn't want to take a risk of an outsider like eMeg. But, the guy that won Lt. Guv actually ran for the Guv race but dropped out.

I think that Califonria needs Moonbeam for experience to get the state out of the ditch and people are angry with Arnold and the state legislators. So, I see new faces come 2012. Many of the legislators up for re-election will lose their jobs.

Keep in mind that Moonbeam was the youngest Guv that took office. He was 36 years old and left with a surplus budget. And now he is the oldest Governor. And Brown was very clever on how he ran his campaign. And Meg Whitman would have been a nightmare if she won.

So, to answer your question: Why weren't there more new blood to run in the Guv race? The question is who wants to inherit Arnold's mess and get California out of the ditch?
