House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) made light of recent Democratic attempts to villainize the would-be Speaker if voters this November elect Republicans to control the Congress.
“You all know me, that I’m such a scary guy,” Boehner joked with reporters on Thursday morning at his weekly press conference.
“Listen, I just say it the way it is. I’m the most transparent person in this town, I’ve got good attributes and some that people don’t like but I say it the way it is, it comes with the territory,” Boehner explained.
