San Diego newspaper probing local finances

Move over the city of Bell, city of San Diego compensation being probed.

From the San Diego newspaper, in the San Diego Union-Tribune, the highest paid manager in the county works in the midsize city of San Marcos. Total compensation: $408,793. Other officials enjoy $1,000-a-month car allowances and two months worth of vacation.
