Also, check out the last widget on the right side bar of the blog. How many Americans are suffering as Senate Republicans and one Senate Democrat block an extension of unemployment benefits?

Those blocking the unemployment benefits, I am sure have never had to use them. More clueless GOP thinking people are getting lazy being on unemployment. I know many who are encouraged by unemployment to get part time jobs because the folks at the unemployment office well know that you have to supplement the unemployment benefits, because they are no where near what you were making. Many of these people are working, at fast food, grocery, Targets etc., all of whom I know with college degrees, and those part time jobs are minimum wage or just slightly over and you work your butt off.
I know someone who just got laid off who applied for unemployment, is looking for one of these part time jobs and looking for full time work at the same time. Just shows you the clueless ones blocking this. And she is going to be paying Cobra on top of it all.
Nope the folks I know on unemployment would love a job, and it's a lot of work looking for a job, most can't afford to relocate because they can't sell their house, condo etc because of the home value situation.
I can bet none of the Senators blocking this have ever been on unemployment.

Bil,

I put the Cheney link up because it had a much more flattering picture of Darth, cough.cough maybe you can nab it and use it instead of the Dickster you have now.

By the way, the picture also shows what in what high regard Cheney is thought of by that article by the one that was chosen to report that story.

It's really sad, Third. The cold and callous demeanor by the GOP is beyond belief. By the end of July, 3 million people will have exhaust their unemployment benefits.

If people would wake up to see that 46 states are in the red and that means 46 states' unemployment fund is in the red, then those states can't afford to pay the unemployed people 26 weeks.

Well, I see November as judgement day for those lawmakers. People have to decide on change or business as usual.

p.s. I will go back and check out the Cheney link that you posted.
