I don't think this scandal with Meg Gibson is going to hurt him financially. And I remember and saw The Passion of the Christ movie. And I remember how it was first condemn and then when the movie became a smashing success, the churches started endorsingthe movie including Bush. Gibson was loved by the religious sector.
Now? Thanks to the release of the tapes between him and the mother of his child, he his now the talk all over the media.
Yeah, this is hurting Mel's image but not his wallet. Mel is very wealthy.
