McConnell joins Facebook and YouTube

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has created an official social media network to help him communicate with his constituents in Kentucky. The network is his Senate Web site, his official Facebook page and a YouTube channel.

The official Web site has been redesigned, which will allow constituents easy access to the latest news from the Senate and about McConnell’s efforts on behalf of Kentucky, the senator said in a press release.

The new Web site contains links to news releases, texts of the senator’s floor speeches and photo galleries.

It also streamlines the process of contacting McConnell and makes it easier to request a Capitol tour, apply for a military academy appointment or become a Senate page

The senator’s official Web site is at http://www.mcconnell.senate.gov/.  His Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/mitchmcconnell and his You Tube channel is at www.youtube.com/republicanleader.
