The left, the right, and the wingnut; Open thread

From the Left:

"Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays. Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That's something that would create jobs. So you see I think out of the box like that. It's not something a typical person would bring up. That's something that could happen, that makes sense. It's not a joke."

Alvin Greene, the Democrat who mysteriously won the Senate primary in South Carolina, despite never making any public appearances, running any ads, or even having a campaign Web site (Guardian interview, July 6, 2010)

From the Right:
"This was a war of Obama's choosing. This is not something the United States has actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in."

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, rewriting history while speaking at a Connecticut fundraiser about the war in Afghanistan, which President Bush launched following the 9/11 terrorist attacks (July 2, 2010)

From the Lunatic Fringe:

"[Obama] wouldn't have been voted president if he weren't black. Somebody asked me over the weekend why does somebody earn a lot of money have a lot of money, because she's black. It was Oprah. No, it can't be. Yes, it is. There's a lot of guilt out there, show we're not racists, we'll make this person wealthy and big and famous and so forth.... If Obama weren't black he'd be a tour guide in Honolulu or he'd be teaching Saul Alinsky constitutional law or lecturing on it in Chicago."

Rush Limbaugh (on his July 6, 2010 talk radio show)

But seriously I was listening to news talk radio (not the right wing nut job stations in town) but they said the GOP is going to be history if it does not diversify, this discussion came as Texas was being discussed and how it will soon be a blue state.
The GOP is still the old rich white boys club, or the gun toteing redneck club. But it is not the club for the young, the women, the minorities. Speaking of women, so glad Coultergast has not been doing much screetching lately.

But seriouly the GOP is headed the way of the Whig party.

Beck, the latest

And to listen to the Rush Limpballs....
Oprah made it on her own, Jerry Springer did what Oprah did, but, he let his show evolve to the trailer trash show, where Oprah made her show go the opposite way, to more and more intelligence. Look they both started at the same type of show..Oprah went one way and Springer went the other.

On Obama, graduate of Harvard, accomplished things at Harvard, started out in the trenches of the community when he got out, worked his way up to state senator, before becoming one of the two Senators from Illinois.
He put his time in the State of Illinois capital, of Springfield as a State Senator. Nothing fell in his lap.

Each and every time I hear old limpstuff talk...so many inconsistancies and sensationalism....AW heck, let's be real the guy flat out lies.
