Rush Limbaugh: The Musical

LOL:

Rush Limbaugh is currently recovering from chest pains at a hospital in Hawaii. Those irreverent satirists at Second City Theatricals are especially invested in the radio host's rapid recovery. Come February, they plan to tweak the king of radio in "Rush Limbaugh: The Musical!"

The new show is the work of the same team who created "Rod Blagojevich Superstar!," the hugely successful theatrical spoof of the disgraced former Illinois governor. Ed Furman and TJ Shanoff penned book and score; Matt Hovde directs.

Current plans call for a February "Rush" opening at the Second City e.t.c. stage on Chicago's North Side. The show will initially play just Tuesday and Wednesday nights, but if it picks up steam, look for a quick transfer. Characters in the piece include Ann Coulter, Karl Rove and Donald Rumsfeld. Events include imagined teenage confrontations with Hilary Clinton and Barney Frank. Song spoofs draw from "Spring Awakening," "Rent" and "Wicked."

And Blagojevich will be on the apprentice along with Sharon Osbourne. Oh man...tune in.

I kinda thought that Rush's recent hospitalization was publicity. A need to stay in the public eye
