I am currently reading the book Surviving The Perfect Recession by Dr. Steve W. Price. Price is a business owner, real estate investor, and bestselling business writer. He pulls factual information from both side of spectrum from magazines and newspaper and not news pundits. In Chapter 1, Price presents the 12 key causes of the perfect recession in this country:
1. Securitization
2. Subprime loan crisis
3. Financial institutions deemed "too big to fail"
4. Financial derivatives
5. Housing bubble
6. Commerical real estate bubble
7. Politicians wanting to stay in office
8. Deregulation
9. Globalization
10. Consumer culture
11. Rating agencies
12. Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan
I will give a summation of each causes that Price outlines on the blog daily. The discussion of securitization will be posted for Tuesday.
