From what I have heard she has been studing the Supreme Court law, and having mock trials set up to question her. She sounds well prepared. It will be pretty hard for the GOP not to seat her.
Third this is just for show by the GOP. They know Sotomayor is better qualified then every Judge now sitting. Obama had to pick a person over qualified because of the attacks. We have some really good Judges but the GOP would pick them apart. Notice how Senator Vitter is hailed but he hires hookers. Remember Thurgood Marshall was taken through the ringer for his confirmation. I thought he was going to replace God the way they went after him. Now that we have Justice Thomas things have gotten better because he truly isn't qualified and never was.

Sotomayor is well-qualified for the Supreme Court judge and the GOP knows it. She is more qualified than all of our current Supreme justices including Justice Roberts. This is all political games by the GOP and a fear among the GOP for Sotomayor because Sotomayor would be the first Hispanic woman that is more qualified than the other male justices. It just fear. Sotomayor knows how to play with the fellows.
What I meant was she was getting ready for the trial by Senators, and was getting well prepared so they could not trip her up.
It is not surprised to me that Sotomayor would be well-prepared. After all, she has 17year track record. From the reading the hearing today. it is clear that Senator Jeff Sessions will not vote for Sotomayor. He is still hung up on Sotomayor's past comment about race. As a reminder, Session lost successfully becoming a judge. It will be interesting he is using his personal anger of not being a judge on his questioning on Sotomayor.
Senator Graham does a 180. He now says that he will vote for her. Again, this is more political move on Graham. Senatoe Kyl, like Sessions will not vote for her. And it doesn't matter who Obama nominates, Sessions, Kyl, and others are the Party of No.
Otherwise, Sotomayor gave a wonderful opening statement in what she said that she follows the fidelity of justice which silence Sessions and the other GOP Senators who claim that Sotomayor is a activist judge. Sotomayor is more like the soon-to-be Supreme Court judge Souter but more extravert and vocal.
