The new resume Acutally a lot of my HR friends are finding this is getting way too common. The HR departments do checks, only on degrees you have on your Resume, the only way to get caught leaving off a degree is if your BS and MS are from the same school. One of my Headhunter friends is working with repeat people who they looked up old resumes on file, and notice the new ones leave off the MBA, ....this seems to be the trend, as much as the Gerbil had come accross his lips "need an education" more and more are dumbing it down.
Also more college kids see the job market is so bad so they stay in school longer, and end up getting a master's while they think they are doing something worthwhile while waiting for the job market to improve, and it isn't. By staying in school longer you are also eligible for healthcare through the university, and/or parents plan if you are a full time college student.
