Meanwhile in Sin City, Sen. John Ensign admits to an affair with aide's wife.

" He has no credibility left." ---Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) quoted by the Las Vegas Sun in 1998, urging Bill Clinton to resign after he admitted an extramarital affair.

ROFL! Love those family values lawmakers. ;-)

Someone got caught with their pants down...literally:

Sources in Washington and Nevada say Republican Sen. John Ensign, a rising star in the Republican Party considering a 2012 presidential bid will hold a press conference later today in which he will acknowledge an extramarital affair.

Ensign, a member of the Senate GOP leadership, flew back to his native Las Vegas Tuesday in anticipation of the public announcement, sources said, missing a vote considered key to the Nevada tourist industry.[..]

Elected in 2000 and reelected in 2006, Ensign has been a leading conservative among Senate Republicans, playing a key role in demanding the resignation of Larry Craig in September 2007. Ensign called Craig a "disgrace" after he was arrested in June 2007 in an airport men's restroom on disorderly conduct charges. Craig resisted the calls from Ensign to resign but retired from the Senate last November.

Late Update: Politico has more detail, including a reported demand for money from the husband of Ensign's lover: Political insiders in the Senate and in Nevada told POLITICO that Ensign began an affair with a staffer several months after he separated from his wife. When Ensign reconciled with his wife, the sources said, he gave the aide a severance package and parted ways.

Sometime later, a Nevada source said, Ensign met with the husband of the woman involved and had what this source described as a positive encounter. Sources said that the man subsequently asked Ensign for a substantial sum of money - at which point Ensign decided to make the affair public.

Note:

His wife was not at his side at his press conference, even though they issued a statement from her saying that she is coming to terms with this, or something to that nature.

Now is his wife the first smart one to say, ...go yourself to the press conferance? Or are they finally realizing that people critique the wife at these things and she wanted no part of it?

Life's lesson many never learn. God created humans with faults and that means all of us, even if we choose not to admit it. Man have been having affairs since God made man/woman. I watched people hold themselves to be holy and then do the same thing. God does have a since of Humor as He will give to you what you have given to others. All the so called Christians are lying to us and themselves. Actions show if you believe and follow God's word. Many Presidents have had mistresses and affairs but only Bill Clinton was attacked. If anyone read the Bible you see many men like Moses, Abraham and others who had mistresses and affairs. King David was God's favorite even when he took a solders wife for himself and then had the soldier killed. Notice how Jesus is in the line of King David. Former Gov. Spitzer was ran out of office by those who did the same and worse. Judgement Day should be interesting as many have forgotten God knows and sees all. Many more Law Makers are doing the same thing but haven't got caught yet. Now we'll see if Senator Ensign still feels a Law Makers/President should resign for breaking Christian Family Values. Now I laughed as the GOP had planned for Ensign/Vitter ticket in 2012.
My GrandMother was so right when she told us, be careful what you say to attack others it could come back at you one day. Now I was very young when she said that and I've seen it happen all my life.
I remember who Americans yelled for Hillary to leave Bill, as woman were waiting for a chance to date him. Even Barbara Walters who called him the worse was ready for a date with William Jefferson Clinton, now how sick is that.

Those questions will be answered on tomorrow's episode of the "Sin and the Sinful."

Ensign didn't think his words about Bubba would come back to bite him in the butt. Now, he is in spotlight for infidelity and the butt of jokes. I always say be careful what you do and say because it come back to haunt you.

It's about time one of these women not humiliate themselves anymore!

Glad he had to face it alone!

Seriously what is this doing for young women? Thinking it's their duty as a wife to stand by their husband when he broke all vows and trust against them?

Let's hope this trend of letting these guys face it alone continues! I don't see sorid affairs ending.
