U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey White in San Francisco Friday ruled Jose Padilla can sue former Bush terror policy maker John Yoo.
Mr. Padilla was held as an “enemy combatant” in solitary confinement for more than three years in the Navy brig in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Padilla, who was convicted of supporting terrorism and other crimes, demands that Mr. Yoo be held accountable for actions that Mr. Padilla claims led to his being tortured.
....In the 42-page ruling, Judge Jeffrey S. White of Federal District Court in San Francisco characterized the conflict as one that embodies the tension “between the requirements of war and the defense of the very freedoms that war seeks to protect.”
Look for civil lawsuits for the Bush six from international courts as well as U.S. courts. And let's not forget George and Dick too.

This man was never guilty in the first place but was tortured into admitting the crime. Now he's declared insane after being tortured into this state. What's truely sad is the fact he's an American. Rush to judgement took his life and Americans wanted someone to pay for 9/11. Like many innocent people in history this man will be reported as innocent but no one really cares. I remember the man tried for killing Linberg baby only to learn many years later Linberg killed his own son. A couple were changed with Treason but three generations later with proof they were innocent but the US executed them. We're learning Oswald was a puppet and Jack Rudy was part of the plan. We have a history of rushing to judgement only later seeing we were wrong but no one really cares we were wrong.
