Fred Thompson: Sanford Needs To Be In "Private Life" To Deal With Scandal

Oh goodness. lol Grampa Thompson is going to preach about Sanford's scandal and say that Sanford is going through a mid life crisis? And needs to be in "private life" to deal with his scandal? What??? I'm not going to go there about how the GOP and media crammed down our throats 24/7 about the Bubba-Monica sex scandal, Spitzer-Ashley Dupree sex scandal, and so on. And now lovebitten Guv from South Carolina who not only cheated on his wife and had a mistress for some time but was in love with her???!!!!

Memo to Grampa: Sanford was not going through some midlife crisis. Sanford is only 49 years old. His mistress is 43 years old.

Now, Fred, you, on the other hand, some people can say that you are going through a midlife crisis since there is an age gap between you and your second wife. But, people cannot predict who they going to fall in love with.

TPM:

On his radio show yesterday, Fred Thompson had some tough words for Mark Sanford -- even seeming to imply that if Sanford is going to have his mid-life crisis, he should do it in private life.

"I've known Mark, and I've gotta preface it with that. And I like him in many respects. And I'm not the one to cast the first stone. And not many -- not many of us are blameless as we go through life, regardless what the category of offense might be," said Thompson. "But I don't have any sympathy in a situation where you got -- where you got a wife and four fairly young kids. And his love life and his falling in love and all that kind of stuff, I mean that can be a personal tragedy. But you know, do it on your own time and do it on your own dime."

"You can't have your cake and eat it, too, and these guys who take money and so forth, they get a sense of entitlement. Same principle involved," said Thompson, seemingly comparing recent political scandal with recent corporate scandals. "They're presiding over all these billions of dollars and they're working on these salaries and so forth, they feel like they're entitled to cut corners and all of that. That's why we need term limits and that's why we need people, if they're gonna do this, they need to be in public -- I mean in private life, and not visit it on millions and millions of other people and their own family."

This is funny from Granpa Fred. Let's look back shell we. Fred married his first wife at the age of 17 years old because she was having a baby. Check this out. Married Sept. 1959 child born 7 months later April 1960. Fred has a second wife who is young enough to be his daughter. Now Fred did his share of cheating on his first wife but can't keep up with the second wife. Now Fred should be checking on who the second wife is seeing as the viagra is working to well.

It was interesting how Gov. Sanford story is being twisted when the bottom line is he fell in love 8 years ago and that's the end of the story.

Yes, we heard about Clinton and Lewinsky until we could not take it any more.

Now Clinton's little ordeal seems so innocent after all that has been going on as of late.

The GOP need to put down the preaching of their so called family values, morals etc, it is only making them look worse, they are going to need a new platform if they are going to survive.
