Ensign resigns from his GOP leadership position.

Thinkprogress:

Earlier today, Politico reported that it was “far from certain” that Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) would hold on to his Senate leadership position in the wake of his admitted affair with a former campaign staffer. Now, MSNBC reports that Ensign is stepping down from his role as the chairman of the Republican Policy Committee.

Don't tell me, to spend more time with his family. The question is which family?

Seems that Senator Ensign who holds the title of the leader of the Republican for Family Values and wanted President Clinton to resign, now thinks he only needs to resign from the appointed job but stay a Senator. No word on his personal conduct as if by saying he takes responsibility is enough for any Republican Law Maker but a Democrat President has to resign. Senator Ensign condemned Spitzer for hiring a posititue as did most of the Christian Americans but Ensign was asking Vitter to be his VP in his run for the Presidential Election in 2012. Now that shows how smart Americans are. Yes kick Spitzer out but no problem with Vitter who is still hiring prositutes. Looks like we now know what Christian American Family/Moral Values really mean. I'm sure the Church supports this action as long as their paid well.
