Italy may take some Gitmo prisoners

In a rare showing of International gratitude, Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi told CNN on Monday that Italy will consider taking on some of the prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay U.S. military prison.

This one may make you feel a little fuzzy inside, even if but for a moment.

From CNN:

"If we can do this favor for the American people and the U.S. government, we will certainly do it," he said. Asked how many detainees Italy might take, he said it was too soon to say.

"We feel that we should do everything possible to support the United States and we can't expect them to fight for all of us single-handedly," Berlusconi said.

"Terrorism is a phenomenon that affects us all."

Most countries are willing to accept the detainees for the money we will give them. Spain will clear out most of the cases when the trial starts. We released 564 innocent detainees who were held for 7 years per our mistaken information.
