According to constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley, the prosecution of Bush's so-called "torture lawyers" might just give Spanish prosecutors the "low lying fruit" needed to bring a case against Vice President Cheney.
Appearing on Monday night's edition of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann, George Washington University law professor Turley said that although President Obama is "protecting" the former administration from prosecution, the Spanish investigation could serve as a point of leverage.
By targeting attorneys who wrote legal justifications for torture, said Turley, prosecutors are going "for the first line of defendants." "And then if you have a case, you go for the higher ones," he added.

A Prosecutors dream case is to get the weakest link to catch the big fish. Doug Fieth is the weakest link and boy he gave all the information needed by interviews and his book. Yes he was riding high as a Bush insider and when he left the job he wanted the World to know it was him who helped enact the Torture Policy that Bush/Cheney wanted. Yes he talked alot about his closenest to Dick and George as if they were old friends. Remember Bush trusted and valued his knowledge so much he even illegally pardon a convicted criminal before sentancing. Yes now Feith will either have to spill his guts are fall on the sword for Dick Cheney like Libby did. This time Feith will go to a Foreign Jail and no George W. Bush can give him a pardon. Look for other countries to join in these charges done on their innocent citizens.
Someone needs to go after the Ayatollah Cheney, look we had less on Sadaam Hussein and well, you know how that turned out.
