Feds seize Madoff's mansion after taking his yacht

Madoff mansion, his vintage yacht and a smaller boat Wednesday, part of an effort to recoup assets to pay back investors he swindled. Barry Golden, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service, said about five U.S. marshals arrived at the 8,753-square-foot, five-bedroom mansion late Wednesday afternoon, hours after marshals seized the boats.

Authorities planned to enter and secure the mansion, change the locks and conduct an inventory of the property, which Palm Beach County records show had a taxable value of $9.3 million last year.

Really this should be done when money is stolen period, if you are Madoff....or Lord Black (Suntimes media group filed bankruptcy this week) When are they going after Conrad Black's many homes, etc?

Calm down TGCN there are so many criminals as we have more criminals then good guys. Remember these guys will be surprised with the knock on the door or go in a store to get a pack of gum and come out their car is gone.

This should be a new trend, take back what was stold.

Buy Jackie, don't pick up a dead cat and swing because you will hit one of these criminals with it.
