Texas Governor does not want Fed unemployment comp money

But, Dems in that state want the money.

Talkleft:

Another Republican governor does not want the money for his state's unemployed -- this time it is
Texas Governor Rick Perry:

Gov. Rick Perry will announce today that he is blocking the state from accepting $550 million for expanded unemployment benefits as part of the federal stimulus package. With an upscale Houston hardware store as his backdrop, he will paint the expansion as a burden on small business.

Another out of touch GOP Governor, should spend time with recruiters, like the one's listed in the comments, hundreds upon hundreds of resumes for each job.

I guess the people of Texas don't have a problem with this recession but they will be paying back the US Debt along with everyone else. I still feel it's up to the citizens to correct their Govenor not the President.
