Confirmed: Jackson Jr. is 'Senate Candidate #5'

Rawstory:

Reports are emerging that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is the "Senate Candidate #5" referred to in the criminal complaint against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is accused of attempting to sell the seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

ABC News first reported that Jackson Jr. was Candidate 5, and MSNBC confirmed the report later Wednesday.

Jackson Jr. told ABC News that he had actively campaigned to be appointed to Barack Obama' senate seat but that there was no quid pro quo with Governor Blagojevich. He met on Monday with Blagojevich to campaign for the post and said he was "shocked" at the allegations unveiled in the 76-page FBI affidavit that accompanied the governor's arrest Tuesday.

Jackson met with Blagojevich on Monday but said it was the first time he and the governor had spoken in four years. He denied offering any quid-pro-quo in exchange for the seat. He said "it's impossible" that anyone would have made such an offer on his behalf

And possible candidate #3:

Rep. Schakowsky: I must not have been a serious Senate contender because Blago ‘didn’t ask me for anything.’

Mr. Kitty I thing your own to something about Hastert. I looked at his history and in 2006 Denny brought property on 1-80. A plan was done to up date Prairie Parkway and re routed to pay Dennis Hastert for his property at a very high price. Hastert also worked with G-Rod on making sure he resigned so Illinois would have to have a special election knowing he could have save the taxpayers money by resigning when the election would take place anyway. Your right Mr. Kitty the players are all round and Dennis is in the mix.

Now I'm wondering did G-Rod catch on to the wiretape in time to try and set up Jackson? I know the whistle blower was from G-Rod's office. As the person wore a wire. Once Fitz had enough information for the phone taps he went to the Judge. Now following this case Fitz was looking at the fraud with the highway money and the hospital kick backs plus future deeds. He was surprised with the talk about pay to play and that might have been a sit up to attack those G-Rod and company wanted out. Remember G-Rod did announce on TV the day before his arrest he knew his phone was tapped and wires were used. Give me your thoughts you know the players better then I do. TGCN give me your input too.
