Bush gives Santa Claus a fist-bump

Is January 20th here yet?

Rawstory:
Perhaps taking a cue from his successor, President Bush fist-bumped with Santa during the annual lighting ceremony at the White House on Thursday.

Attending the event for the final time as president, Bush sang along with Santa Claus and thousands of guests as he switched on the lights, The Daily Mail reported.

The 43rd president reminded attendees of U.S. troops fighting in Iraq."Over the past eight years, my greatest honor as president has been serving as commander in chief of the finest military ever known," Bush said.

The fist bump entered campaign lore when President-elect Barack Obama made the gesture with his wife Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention.

It was both criticized and elevated by the media.

The Washington Post called it "the fist bump heard 'round the world," while Fox News labeled it a "terrorist" gesture.
