Rice: ‘The American people are wise in wanting change’ from Bush.
Sunday during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice reiterated her joyous sentiment about Barack Obama’s election as America’s 44th president. “It was quite a moment,” Rice said, adding, “It means this country has come an enormous distance.” But then Rice went a step further, seeming to suggest that even she has had enough of the last eight years of the Bush administration:

RICE: But of course, he is someone that I admire. He was on my committee, the Foreign Relations Committee. We have talked a number of times. He is going to do very well for the country. But eight years is a long time. The American people are wise in wanting change. Two terms is plenty. And I’m going to go back to California and on to other things.

On MSNBC Monday morning, Joe Scarborough was trying to make a silly point about the outrage over high gas prices when he let slip a rather bizarre fantasy of his, prompting his colleagues and producers to laugh hysterically and wonder whatever happened to that seven-second time delay he forced upon the show last month when he casually dropped the f-bomb.

"You know what I want to see? George Bush and Barbara Bush making out."
