Palin backtracks on call for Ted Stevens to resign

Thinkprogress:

Now, Palin is backtracking on whether Stevens should resign:

Asked Wednesday whether she still believed that Mr. Stevens should resign, Ms. Palin was circumspect, saying only that the people of Alaska “just spoke” on the issue at the ballot box and that “they want him as their senator.” She said Mr. Stevens should decide “what happens next.” (Mr. Stevens could still be forced to step down, and Ms. Palin is widely viewed as a potential candidate for his seat if he does.)

Sarah will need a job and this one will be open. If the people of Alaska voted a convicted criminal as Senator he will be removed and another criminal name Sarah might get the job. Why do people vote for convicted felon to represent them knowing these people will not have the job. If the Senate allowed convicted felons to hold office Cunningham, Criag, Foley and DeLay would still be in office. Why not just open the jails. Now what's interesting is the GOP says Ted can run for office and even get re-elected as a convicted felon, but convicted felon's can't vote. Call Randall Samborn for the answer to that question.
