Michael Vick gets suspended sentence in state case.

Talkleft:

NFL quarterback Michael Vick, serving his 23 month federal sentence for dog-fighting (background here), pleaded guilty to a similar charge in state court today. He received a suspended sentence, which now makes him eligible for a half-way house on the federal sentence.

It looks like the Judge insisted on one pound of flesh, so to speak:
Vick was taken to Virginia last Thursday after (Judge)Campbell rejected a request by Vicks' attorneys for him to plead guilty by videoconference.

The Legal System is always interesting to me. People kill or rape as their sentence isn't as hard as Michael Vick for abusing dogs. Now Mark Foley molest and even selects kids to have sex with and walks away as he continues his crimes. Now don't get me wrong I love animals and feel a person should be punished for what Vick did. But this is a little much when I view other crimes and sentences. I know the NFL played a large part in this plea agreement as Vick will return to the NFL with a low salary. The worse team in the league will get Vick who is still in his prime. Right now we see a Mother who most likely killed her daughter and she is always in and out of jail because of the investigation. Now while all this is going on the child is gone and the Mother acts like nothing wrong. Don't bother to think she's crazy she's pretty smart.

After watching Governor Sarah Palin kill wolves from planes, not to mention the turkey thing, I would like Michael Vick to be pardoned by George Bush. He pleaded guilty. I seriously doubt he will get into dog fighting again. And, I'd like to see him resume his career in the NFL.

Now worry Aaon the NFL has said Vick will go to the worse team in the league. He's very talented and young so he has a future. Now if he doesn't prerform well you know the rest of that story.
