GM cut ties with Tiger Woods and cut costs including paper towels!

Where else is the company cutting costs besides the 8 million dollar Tiger Woods endorsements? Everywhere, starting with the paper towels!:

They're buying cheaper "wipe-up towels" to "lower GM's 'cost per wipe.'"

They've stopped replacing batteries in their wall clocks, and updating them for daylight savings time

They didn't even hold press conferences at the latest auto show.
Cheaper pencils!

No more voice mail: "Recordings that used to say, 'please leave a message,' now say 'please call back.'"

This company full of not-on-time workers who are too busy dealing with ripped, low-quality paper towels and broken pencils to call back reporters who missed the press conference only to find that they can't leave a message for anyone is on the road to recovery! [WSJ, Ad Age; pic via]

Yes by mutal agreement, also Tiger is making enough without GM (there's still Nike) and also does not need what 9 million more a year?

Too little too late for GM anyhow. You can be sure those at the top will come out with their pockets well lined and the workers.....well they could care less about them, maybe they will try for a United Airlines deal, loose pay, hours, benefits all to help the company and when the company does well again, too bad the CEO's will profit again.

Tiger isn't hurting and invested well as most of his money is in Switzerland. These CEO's are clueless on how to cut back. Most think that cutting back means just thinking about it. Look at Bush who was born with a gold spoon and was clueless to the recession and the high gas prices. I suggest the Ford Family speak to their employees for ideas on how the down size. Why cutting hand towels sickness will happen.

Yeah, the workers probably know how to cut costs.

Start with the janitors, and/or whomever else is the lowest paid.
