Who bought Palin’s clothes? McCain campaign and RNC play the blame game.

Thinkprogress:

After Politico’s revealed recently that $150,000 was spent on Gov. Sarah Palin’s wardrobe, the McCain campaign and the RNC have been engaged in a blame game, trying to assign responsibility to each other for the decision. A quick recap:

“It was obviously the RNC’s call.” – McCain aide Nancy Pfotenhauer,
10/22

“They are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else the RNC purchased.” – Palin, 10/26

“All the people I talk to say it’s Nicolle Wallace.” – Fox’s Fred Barnes, 10/26

“This was a coordinated expense that the campaign asked us to pay for.” – RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, 10/27
