Crooks and Liars:
"Joe the Plumber" as a debate prop last night -- he's a partisan Republican who also happens to be a member of McCain's old friends, the Keating family.
From Martin Eisenstadt:
Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
"Joe the Plumber" does not have a plumbing license

Mr. Kitty don't hire Joe the Plummer he doesn't have a license. Now the IRS should be looking into Joe the Plummer's income and the money he doesn't report on his taxes. Doesn't look like Elizabeth Keating and her husband are giving their relative Joe the Plummer any money from the Keating Scandal. Now Joe the Plummer has been asked by John McCain to campaign with him. Let's see how Joe the Plummer handles this one.
First off the 5K tax credit for insurance it will be treated just like property taxes where you claim up to 5K and it percentages out much lower in the tax equation, so in reality it is not a full 5K (same way your property tax, mortgage interest is treated)
As anyone well knows who has ever been on Cobra or knows someone who has been on Cobra, it is very expensive to buy your own health insurance. Many small businesses that have health insurance have to bargin with different companies to shop for an affordable policy, things you give up for affordability are cost of Rx, how much Therapies,( Physical, speech, occupational, psyc) etc are covered. The max amount of out of pocket as well as a cap on the total benefits period.
If anyone has ever worked with small businesses that have to buy their own policies to get something affordable you have to give up a lot of good health care benefits.
And if this guy Joe was smart and was going into his own business he needs a good accountant, especially if he things McCain is going to be better for him he is really in need of a good accountant.
If any small business owner is going to vote for McCain they need to sit down with their accountant and look at gramps vs Barak's plans for them, and trust me he will think gramps is off his rocker talking about how he is going to help out small businesses.
Ok now I am done ranting and raving on how gramps and his small business plans are dissaster plans for them.
The Chamber of Commerce blasted Senator Grumpy Old Man's health disaster plan.
