The dumbing down of the media.
Thinkprogress:
During an interview yesterday on ABC, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) indicated that she did not know what the so-called Bush Doctrine is. When asked for her interpretation, Palin guessed, “His worldview?”
Even though Palin was unaware of the foundation of President Bush’s national security strategy, some in the media have come to her defense, arguing that ordinary Americans don’t know about it either. In short, the vice president of the United States shouldn’t be any more intelligent than “most” Americans:
– CNN’s Jessica Yellin: The question is given that many Americans themselves don’t know what the Bush doctrine is… it’s unclear how much of a fallout that would be — that question and the answer would have.”
– CNN’s David Gergen: She didn’t know what the Bush doctrine was. But I don’t think most people know what the Bush doctrine is or was.
CNN’s Candy Crowley dismissed the gaffe by saying that regular Americans don’t care. Fox News’s Juan Williams gave Palin a pass because he admitted that he also wouldn’t have been able to answer the question:
WILLIAMS: I thought actually Charlie did try a gotcha question with this business about the Bush doctrine – which if you ask me in the middle of the night, I would have been: “What? What?”

The cat watched the interview with Charlie. What a stupid woman. She did not answer the questions and I hope more Americans pick up on that. Charlie gave her an opportunity to stop a lie but she continued. All women should pay attention to a traitor woman who would make them have a rapist's baby AND make them pay for the police investigation evidence testing collection. Everyone should pay attention to someone who took a balanced town budget and left it $20 million in debt, about $3,000 for everyone who lives there, including the kids. People should either vote Obama/Biden or pick one of the third-party none of the above candidates.
Juan Williams--He should have a lackey contest with Boots Lickerman, to see who can grovel more.
What a joke.
Speaking of joke news people, Geraldo 'Al Capone's Vault' Rivera got knocked down by an Ike wave because he was yet again in another place he should not have been.
The cat saw the weather reports on Ike and is more certainly in a bad mood. It's in God's hands now.
I didn't watch the interview tonight. I only watch a snippet of Palin on Nightline yesterday. I can only take so much from that clueless Governor. She lost me when she didn't know the Bush doctrine and more scary to me when she mention that we should attack Russia.
She is certainly unqualified. Vote for anybody but Gramps and Saraccuda. With the gaffes and blunders by the two brains to nowhere. It will be Obama and Biden. All of the schooling of Neocon 101 of foreign policy by Professor Lickerman won't her.
The debates will determine where people's minds are at. And the economy is not in McCain's corner because everyday another shoe drops. There should be more headlines in the media about how the Interior Dept. and officials go in bed with the oil companies in the sex, booze, and blow-for-oil scandal. An article will be posted for Saturday where two of McCains buddies in his campaign are involved in that scandal.
I heard about the conditions of Ike. This is going to get worse. My prayers are for the people in that state.
