Breaking: Sarah Palin announces her 17 year old teenage daughter is pregnant.

Peg Bundy for Veep? Could be.
And I didn't see this one coming. So, now Palin announces that her teen daughter is pregnant? How interesting that Palin would announce this after the internet rumors about her down syndrome son not being hers. McCain certainly took a big gamble on Palin being his running mate.

Thinkprogress:

In a statement released just as Hurricane Gustav was striking the Gulf Coast, Sarah Palin and her husband announced their 17-year old daughter is pregant and plans to keep the baby. “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that, as parents, we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned,” the Palins wrote. “We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents.” McCain officials said the news of the daughter’s pregnancy was being released to rebut what one aide called “mud-slinging and lies” circulating on liberal blog sites.

"Senior McCain campaign officials said McCain knew of the daughter's pregnancy when he selected Palin last week as his vice presidential running mate, deciding that it did not disqualify the 44-year-old governor in any way."

Also, McCain camp insinuates Obama for internet pregnancy rumors. Nice try, McCain:

TPM:

Obama smacks back at the anonymous McCain aide's suggestion of ties between Obama and the rumors that Trig Palin is actually the son of Sarah Palin's daughter:

Asked about the insinuation from the McCain campaign that the liberal bloggers trafficking in rumors about Palin write for websites that mention Obama, the senator said, "I'm offended by that."

The Democratic presidential nominee said, "There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us."...

"Our people were not involved in any way in this and they will not be. And if I ever thought that it was somebody in my campaign that was involved in something like that, they'd be fired."

Of course, the McCain campaign never even had to make this absurd allegation on the record, because Reuters so generously let an anonymous McCain aide do it.

Finally more woes for Palin:

Ha Ha!

I'd like to see this family talk about the fine Republican values of abstinence education, since the daughter obviously knows nothing about that.

No, the cat is not this hard on all teenage girls who get pregnant, just the ones that just scream out HYPOCRISY.

I hope McSame gets a ton of bad karma for this bizarre decision. McSame and his people obviously made this choice of the beauty queen with something in his pants, not his brain.

Well, Mr. Kitty, McSame just handed Obama the presidency on this one.

Both McCain and Palin on one of the same: The sin and sinful. I agree. I am not knocking teen pregnancy either. Hypocrisy is the issue here. Palin's issues and beliefs that she brought to the table as McCain's running mate will do her in. She will be another embarrassed Harriet Miers like nominee.

And Palin's biggest blunders is when she pandered on the disgruntled Hillary Clinton's voters. And certainly those voters are going to cakewalk over to the Palin now that her teen daughter is pregnant and there is still the unanswered questions of the internet preganacy rumors.
