Palin probe could wrap up and release findings close to election eve.

TPM:

It looks like John McCain's new running mate, Sarah Palin, could be hit with some decidedly negative PR at the worst possible time. The Alaska legislature's investigation of whether Governor Palin improperly fired a state employee is scheduled to wrap up and release its findings just days before the November election.
The firing is at the center of a scandal that has largely remained confined to the Alaska press, but is now likely to become a national story in the wake of Palin's selection -- one that could conceivably have an impact on the presidential race.
As it happens, we've been tracking the story closely here at TPMmuckraker.

if it wasn't so serious, it would be hilarious... talking about grasping at straws...grandpa john would have done better to opt for the mayor of jacksonville, florida; instead of listening to the rovian bleeding hearts.

OK, so let me see if I have this alleged story correct. Palin's sister was married to the cop, they divorced, and Palin allegedly had the cop fired to help her sister?

OK, so was the cop paying alimony? How the heck does putting a guy paying alimony in the unemployment line helping her sister?

My little furry friend Sarah was giving pay back to her brother in law. Look by having him fired he wouldn't be able to pay child support and then he would be sent to jail. It's a woman thing Mr. Kitty. Sarah was in the position to hurt the dude in the pocket for her sister. Sarah's sister didn't have a problem with money as all she would have to do is get a job with the Oil Company like Sarah's husband did. It's about hurting the ex husband. But when the Chief wouldn't break the law Sarah fired the Chief. She appointed a Republican friend in the job only to find out two weeks later she had to fire him, but Gov. Sarah gave her best friend a 10,000 dollar bonus for two weeks on the job. Sarah loves to reward friends.

Rumor has it McSame wanted Lieberman....Joey, yes but they had to scramble at the last minute because some GOP donors weren't going to open up their pocketbooks for that duo.
