David Gregory on Edwards: "Is this another skeleton in the Democratic closet that Obama must struggle to overcome?"

The more that David Gregory talks, distorts, and sensationalize a topic, the less respect that I have for him as a journalist. Makes you wonder why he is not the WH correspondent on NBC News with Brian Williams. I lost complete respect for Gregory when he participated trainwreck rap entourage and mocking of Patrick Fitzgerald with Rove at an event.

On the August 8 edition of MSNBC's Race for the White House, host David Gregory baselessly suggested that former Sen. John Edwards' (D-NC) disclosure of an extramarital affair has some relevance to Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Gregory opened the show by saying, "Tonight, more on Edwards and the fallout from his admission today about a sexual affair: Is this another skeleton in the Democratic closet that Barack Obama must struggle to overcome?" Gregory also said that, "now, questions about his [Edwards'] future abound in the party and whether this creates another shadow over Barack Obama as he gets ready for the conventions."
Read on.

Memo to Gregory: Do you remember McCain's co-chair for his campaign, Rep. Rick Renzi? Let me remind you, David. Renzi of Arizona was indicted for defrauding and bilking dozens of pro-life organizations for hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund his first congressional bid.
See here. And who can forget his connection to the firing of former USA Paul Charlton who was investigating Renzi. Would Renzi's scandal hurt McCain's run as President? Absolutely. Renzi is current a lawmaker and announced last year that he would not seek re-election. Edwards, a former Senator. Renzi, a current lawmaker. Edwards hurt his wife and family. Renzi hurt his constituents in Arizona.

Yes, David Gregory went to the 'daark side' quite some time ago...

Bob Costas interviewed the Gerbil better than most 'real' news people. I was surprised at the negative tone Costas took in regards to the Chinese politics.

Oh, it seems the Gerbil found a job that suits him very well--cheerleader for the athletes. He's been doing well with that.

Let's just keep him there, and put him at all the major sporting events until January of 2009. He's been a great cheerleader, and he can't do any harm doing that.
