The US intelligence agency does not have to ask permission from the Pakistani government to attack his hideout, presumed to be in the lawless tribal areas on Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

Top US Commander: Pentagon Doesn't Have Enough Troops for Afghanistan --Iraq War Limits U.S. Options, Says Chairman of Joint Chiefs The nation's top military officer said yesterday that more U.S. troops are needed in Afghanistan to tamp down an increasingly violent 'insurgency,' but that the Pentagon does not have sufficient forces to send because they are committed to the war in Iraq. Violence in Afghanistan has increased markedly over recent weeks, with June the deadliest month for U.S. troops since the war began in 2001. "I don't have troops I can reach for, brigades I can reach, to send into Afghanistan until I have a reduced requirement in Iraq," Navy Adm. Michael G. Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters at the Pentagon.
Judge Rejects Bush's View on Wiretaps A federal judge in California said Wednesday that the wiretapping law established by Congress was the "exclusive" means for the president to eavesdrop on Americans, and he rejected the government’s claim that the president’s constitutional authority as commander in chief trumped that law. The judge, Vaughn R. Walker, the chief judge for the Northern District of California, made his findings in a ruling on a lawsuit brought by an Oregon charity. The Justice Department has tried for more than two years to kill the lawsuit, saying any surveillance of the charity or other entities was a "state secret" and citing the president’s constitutional power as commander in chief to order wiretaps without a warrant from a court under the agency’s program.

Putting Lickerman on the ticket would turn that campaign into:
Grumpy Old Men
with no Ann Margaret co-star.
Hello my Mr. Kitty I have missed you so much yes you to SPB.
Yes Lickerman is a loser but he should be concerned about his current job that he will lose.
The Gerbil will use the Olympics for his photo op on his legacy as he's done nothing else.
Now had some time to think while on vacation. Me thinks the USA needed to be cleaned from the inside out. As lazy Americans lived the good life and didn't pay attention to the US invasion of the criminal GOP. Nothing is going right for the US or the GOP. God is not blessing America anymore as long as Bush and Company are in charge and doing Satan's work. Gas and food prices are going higher every day and notice the World Leaders have moved on. Most of our Law Makers are getting as much money as they can before the tax payers bank is chose. Americans are in chaos and have no leadership. I heard the speech from the GOP today of how great John Adams's Mother was and how his Father held her to the highest as the smart one of all. I was surprised by the GOP as they had made Hillary into a tramp and worthless woman. The Obama's bump fist and it's called an Al Queata act, Bush bumps fist with a kid and it's said the President knows what young people do. Lies and tricks are still part of American Democracy.
Putting Lickerman on the ticket is a trainwreck ticket. Ot more of a Zell Miller ticket. Now, putting the Mittster on the ticket would be the most disasterous for Grampa McCain. The entire GOP are in a pickle right now with the Presidential race. Theuyy don;t know what to do with Obama.
