Thinkprogress:Wednesday, on Glenn Beck’s CNN Headline News program, Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) falsely claimed that wildlife in Alaska are not affected by oil operations in Alaska. Animals “couldn’t care less whether…the pipeline was there, or the oil company was there,” he said. Glenn Beck similarly argued that wildlife can’t tell if the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline is a “tree or a pipeline,” and said that the northern reaches of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge — where Boehner hopes to drill — are a “barren wasteland.”

Speaking of "wasteland" just go have another drink Boner and you'll be there...
Off shore drilling, natural forests may never recover...........
If they start making wind farms, solar fields etc they will put so many Americans to work in the manufacture and the building of these things, then there will be forests and wildlife for their children, granchildren etc. Yes Wind and Sun are undepleteable, there may be calm days, or rainy days but....that's par for the course
The oilmen would loose out maybe they don't want the same fate as the coal industry?
Hey Third, Mama drove past two wind farms on the west side of the state. Mama saw some out west earlier in the summer. They are so peaceful to watch.
Really where on the West side of the State? All I have heard is how birds are getting chopped up in them.....and so ...off shore drilling and tearing down natural forests..,is better?
