GOP taps ex-Wall St. exec for Vito Finito's seat.

The Staten Island GOP has endorsed Frank Powers for the congressional seat held by Vito Fossella.

Powers is a Metropolitan Transportation Authority board member and retired Wall Street executive.

Fossella, who's embroiled in a sex scandal and facing drunken driving charges, has said he won't seek another term.

Powers told members of the Republican County committee on Thursday night: "I intend to give it every ounce I can."

Fossella, the city's lone GOP congressman, did not attend the convention, but his father, Vito Sr., and uncle, Frank, were there.

Earlier this week, Staten Island Democrats endorsed City Councilman Michael McMahon. National Democrats are expected to pour cash into the race in hopes of winning the seat.

Better do a back ground check and see if the ex-Wall St. executive isn't a client of the Emperors Sex Club, you just never know with these guys. Money brings power and both bring sex, ask Ashley. Vito will fight this and as for the voters look for someone to ask the same question I did. There aren't many Saints around anymore and it will be hard to find any man/woman without a few secrets.

The best replacement for the GOP is to seek out a member of the Bowtie Family if not their hosed.
